Eon launches fixed online-only tariff
New tariff provides “peace of mind” according to energy supplier.
Energy giant Eon has launched a new one-year tariff, which is available only through its website and price comparison sites.
The supplier claims its Eon Go Online 1 Year tariff is currently the cheapest on the market offered by a large supplier.
The tariff is priced at £920 a year and offers savings of around £230 a year when compared to the average cost of a dual fuel standard variable tariff.
According to research carried out by Eon, going online is one of the main ways to get a good deal, with more than half (55 per cent) of people surveyed having used an online comparison website, and a similar number (49 per cent) having visited an individual company site.
“As our research shows, many people now choose to buy online from the comfort of their own home, often for convenience or product comparison,” said Eon’s managing director of residential, Chris Lovatt.
“Eon Go Online not only offers savings, but provides our customers with peace of mind that their prices will be fixed for 12 months.
“As always, we urge people to find out if they are on the best tariff for their needs and encourage customers to visit our website to find out more and see if they could save on their energy costs by signing up to Eon Go Online,” added Lovatt.
