#AskUsAnything: Countdown to COP26

With exactly a year to go until the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, the pressure is on for the UK to position itself as a global leader in decarbonisation. But how – and what role will utilities have to play? Regina Finn, Laura Sandys and Lawrence Slade will be among the experts discussing this topic.

With exactly a year to go until the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, the pressure is on for the UK to position itself as a global leader in decarbonisation. But how – and what role will utilities have to play?

With Boris Johnson poised to reveal more on his green industrial revolution plans next week, our latest #AskUsAnything webinar, hosted in association with OpenText, will discuss the bold actions government must take to set the pace for the net-zero journey.

As well as gauging early reaction to Johnson’s vision, we will discuss how the sector can engage the public, how net zero will be funded and the opportunities for both short-term successes and long-term strategic planning.

The panel will include:

  • Regina Finn – chair of the Low Carbon Contracts Company and former Ofwat chief executive
  • Laura Sandys – director at the Energy Systems Catapult and editor of National Grid’s Bridging the Gap to Net Zero report
  • Lawrence Slade – chief executive of the Global Infrastructure Investor Association

You can submit your questions for the panel in the form below and register to view the discussion live or on-demand here.
