Former environment secretary George Eustice has called for increased water management grants for farmers to tackle water pollution caused by agriculture. Pollution from agriculture is a core component of rivers not achieving good ecological status, but barriers and costs for farmers have prevented improvements to land management being implemented, a new report says.
