Energy crisis sees reversal of long-term decline in PPMs

Soaring energy costs have resulted in a reverse in the long-term trend of falling numbers of customers on prepayment meters (PPMs), new research has found. Comparison service Uswitch.com submitted a Freedom of Information request to energy regulator Ofgem to obtain the figures, which began rising towards the end of last year following nine consecutive quarters of decreases.
