Federer’s power play no hassle for National Grid
The end of the Wimbledon mens final yesterday generated a 700MW pickup – the equivalent of more than a quarter of a million kettles being turn on – but National Grid said the surge caused no problems. “It was challenging but we were prepared for all eventualities,” said a spokesman.
