SSE hikes energy prices 9 per cent
SSE has announced a 9 per cent price rise for gas and electricity from 15 October. The firm said rising wholesale prices were to blame, and said it paid 14 per cent more for energy for use this winter than it did last year. Rising networks and environmental and social obligations were also cited as reasons for the price rise.
