Michael Gove has hired an “eminent” environmental lawyer to head the new body that is being set up to oversee the environment protection regime if the UK leaves the EU without a withdrawal agreement.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published papers on 12 October assessing the consequences for the electricity and gas markets if the UK exits the EU without a withdrawal deal next March.
