Greencoat UK Wind has announced it has secured agreements to acquire almost 50 per cent stakes in the Stronelairg and Dunmaglass windfarms from SSE.

The portfolio, which comprises Bicester, Aston Clinton and Homestead PV farms has a total capacity of 60.4 megawatts, taking Greencoat Solar’s aggregate installed capacity above 600MW.

The fund will pay £45 million for the project, including both acquisition and construction costs. The transaction is expected to be completed in early 2019.
