Utility Week Live launches biggest ever content programme

More than 100 speakers across five theatres are featured on the newly released agenda for Utility Week Live 2022.

The exhibition, taking place on 17 and 18 May at Birmingham’s NEC, includes a pan-utility challenge programme featuring practical case studies and seminars tackling a range of front-line industry issues, along with a keynote stage exploring the headline themes of collaborative innovation and the race to achieve net-zero carbon targets.

Utility Week Live portfolio director Ellen Bennett said: “We can’t wait to reunite the industry at Birmingham’s NEC, and, with five theatres and more than 100 speakers, we’re confident this is our most exciting, diverse and useful content programme yet.

“Our programme takes specific industry issues such as tackling operational efficiency; creating flexible and smart infrastructure that is fit for purpose; and delivering best-in-class customer service; and showcases best practice and innovation to help solve these challenges. The sessions are designed specifically to arm visitors with insights and solutions they can take back to the front line.

“We’re also delighted to launch our keynote stage, with high level thought leadership from industry change makers, looking at two of the biggest issues facing utilities today: the race to achieve net zero and of course our headline theme of collaborative innovation.

Speakers on the keynote programme include:

  • Susan Davy, chief executive, Pennon
  • Basil Scarsella, chief executive, UK Power Networks
  • Duncan Burt, chief sustainability officer, National Grid
  • Andi Karaboutis, group chief information & digital officer, National Grid
  • John Russell, director of strategy planning, Ofwat
  • Jourdan Edwards, interim deputy director – onshore networks, Ofgem
  • Alison Japp, customer care director, Ovo
  • Rachel Fletcher, director of economics and regulation, Octopus
