Affinity Water appoints former Eon CEO as chairman

Affinity Water has appointed Tony Cocker, the former chief executive and chairman of Eon UK as its independent chairman.

Cocker, who walked away with Utility Week’s Industry Champion Award in December 2017, joins the water company’s board today (15 January) and will take over as chairman from Philip Nolan on 30 January.

With a strong understanding of the utility sector, Cocker is currently chair of the renewable energy generator company, Infinis Energy Management. He is also governor and deputy chairman of Warwick Independent Schools Foundation.

Nolan has served as chairman of Affinity Water since April 2013. During his time, he led the board’s oversight of the development and implementation of the water company’s PR14 business plan.
