Apply now for a subsidy for renewable heating for your home

The scheme, administered by the Energy Saving Trust, will provide subsidy for people in England, Scotland and Wales switching to use renewables or high-efficiency technologies such as heat pumps to heat their homes.

The type of subsidy available varies depending on how you currently heat your home. If you use gas, you can receive a subsidy for a solar thermal system to provide hot water. If you are currently using oil, LPG, solid fuel or electricity the range is much wider, including various types of heat pumps and biomass boilers.

Heat pump users will provide information about the use of the equipment via a heat meter – part of a government scheme to evaluate various types of heat pump before the start of a broader subsidy for renewables heating to be called the Renewable Heat Incentive.
