The first step will see British Gas targetting Thames customers with free loft and cavity wall insulation, as required by its Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (Cert) obligation. Later, the firm will offer microgeneration, new boilers and other home services.
British Gas will be able to target all of Thames Water’s 8.8 million water customers with the offer.
