Scotland’s largest retailer of non-household water and waste water services said the sector would see additional savings of £9.4million this year and £10 million in 2014, after winning a deal to extend its agreement with the sectors to 2015.
Added to sector discounts of £13.1 million in the first two years of the contract, efficiency savings and AMR bring the total savings in the contract period to £37.1 million.
The initial contract was signed in 2011 after a competitive tender with other licence providers in the Scottish market.

“Reliable and efficient water supply and waste water services help these organisations do their own jobs more effectively, freeing up money and resources for frontline services.”
As part of the contract, Business Stream provides services for organisations such as NHS Lothian and the Scottish Prison Service.
