Analyst warns price cap could rise to nearly £2,450 in October
Without interventions, the price cap on default tariffs could rise to almost double its current level for the next winter period starting in October, an industry analyst has warned. Investec senior analyst Martin Young issued the forecast whilst also giving his final prediction for the price cap over the summer period beginning in April which is due to be announced by Ofgem on Monday (7 February).
