Scotland-based Together Energy announces appointments

Clydebank-based Together Energy has announced several changes to its leadership team.

The Scottish firm, which was founded in 2016 by Paul Richards, has appointed Donald McIntyre as its commercial director, former chief operations director of Future Energy David Stroud as director for strategy and Josh Montgomery as director of trading.

The trio join financial director Graeme Toolin and director of partnerships, Gavin Baillie.

Chief executive Richards said: “We’ve grown at a substantial rate and currently have 60,000 customers so it’s vital that we have the right team in place to take us from essentially a start-up to a high street challenger brand.

“Our team has an exceptional skill set and we have ambitious plans going forward.”

The company has also announced it has invested £1.8 million in creating a new billing system designed to provide customers with “greater transparency and easy to understand bills”.

The software was designed in-house and has already been rolled out to customers.

Together says it is now planning to release the software for sale to other suppliers.

Richards added: “When customers receive their new bills they might not register much difference however, the investment is in the back end operation which enables us to provide a faster customer experience.

“It will help with recording readings and importantly will enable us to have better forward forecasting.”

In February it was announced that all 20 staff who faced redundancy when Newcastle supplier Future Energy collapsed were taken on by Together – and received a 20 per cent pay increase.
