Consent granted for 500MW solar and storage project
The energy secretary has granted planning permission to a 500MW solar and battery storage project in Essex. The Longfield solar farm being developed by EDF Renewables is expected to be one of the UK’s largest when it begins exporting power to the grid in early 2028.
