Coutinho vows next CfD auction will attract offshore wind bids
Energy secretary Claire Coutinho has promised that the next Contracts for Difference auction (AR6) will attract bids from offshore wind developers. The recently appointed secretary of state said that she was committed to delivering “a successful AR6 […] that includes offshore wind”, during her keynote speech at Energy UK’s annual conference. It comes after the latest CfD auction (AR5) failed to attract any bids from offshore wind developers.
