Crown Estate Scotland to survey energy tenants

Crown Estate Scotland is to survey its energy and infrastructure tenants across the country.

The survey will offer tenants the opportunity to give their opinion on Crown Estate Scotland’s tenant service – what it does well, and what it can improve.

As the body responsible for managing the leasing of Scotland’s seabed, Crown Estate Scotland grants leases to operators in offshore renewables, telecommunications cables and oil and gas pipelines.

These sectors and activities play a vital role in Scotland’s economic growth, as well as in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

“Through ensuring that businesses and communities can live, work and thrive on the assets that we manage, Crown Estate Scotland plays a unique role in supporting Scotland’s economic development,” said Crown Estate Scotland’s head of marine, Colin Palmer.

“We also work with companies from some of the most innovative industries which are helping drive the transition to a low carbon economy.

“To provide great tenant service, it’s vital that we understand the needs and views of our tenants, so I’d really encourage our tenants to complete the survey,” added Mr Palmer.

The survey will ask tenants about communication, service, what challenges their business face more generally and where there may be room for improvement.

All the surveys are anonymous and tenants have until mid-December to complete them.

The study is being conducted by Research Resource, an independent research organisation, and a summary of key results will be made available at a later date.
