Decc attempts to clear up feed in tariff confusion

The department is also urging the public to respond to its proposals on how the feed in tariff (FIT) scheme will work in future.

The question and answer list covers tariffs, cut off dates (subject to Decc’s appeal to a legal challenge by solar companies and environmental groups) and the rules around multi-site installations.

The FAQs also confirm that the new EPC assessment, which will be required from April to claim higher Fit revenues, can be carried out by solar installers and that an EPC will cost about £100.
