Dieter Helm slams water sector pay
Multimillion pound chief executive salaries in the water sector are ‘patently absurd’ and ‘symbolic of greed’, economist Dieter Helm has claimed. Helm called on the sector to stop benchmarking itself against FTSE100 companies and instead use "comparable" businesses, such as Scottish Water, Network Rail and the Highways Agency.
