Electralink secures gas health and safety contract

Electralink, the company responsible for operating the data hub underpinning the UK energy market, has secured a contract to assist the Gas Safety Trust (GST), Council for Registered Gas Installers (CORGI) and Gas Industry Safety Group (GISG) to improve health and safety and awareness of gas safety.

Electralink will provide management, lobbying and finance support services.

Stuart Lacey, Electralink’s chief executive, said: “We are pleased to be working with the GST, CORGI and GISG to help improve health and safety in the gas industry.

“This work will complement Electralink’s existing range of services and expertise which it provides to the energy market to raise standards, to encourage competition and to facilitate change.”

GST, CORGI and GISG will be operated from Electralink’s offices in central London providing a flexible base for a dedicated services team.
