The proposed windfarm will have a total of nine turbines, and a capacity of 27MW, down from the original plan for a 24 turbine development with a 49MW capacity.
Eon stated the changes had been made following “extensive consultation” with the local community.
It added it was ‘important’ to understand local concerns, and that ‘changes had been made to incorporate community feedback’ into the proposed project, including changing its name from Inverneil.
Eon’s onshore development manager, Emma Clark said: “Since we introduced our proposals in February 2013, we’ve held a number of events to share our plans with local residents to give them every chance to provide their feedback.”
“This included the creation of a Community Liaison Group which ensured Eon “fully understood the community’s views on proposals.”
Local residents will be able to view the final proposal for the windfarm at a “meet the develop day” on 4 November.
