Essex & Suffolk Water customers sign up for home visits to save on bills

Essex & Suffolk Water is engaging with its customers to save 30 litres of water per day as part of the Every Drop Counts campaign.

More than 2,000 households in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex have signed up to reduce water consumption and save around £32 each year on their water bill by taking part in the campaign.

Participants will be visited by a plumber to install water saving devices, fix leaky taps or toilets and learn about water saving methods to reduce consumption and bills.

The home visits are offered free to customers by the water supplier, which is also running community events to educate customers about the Every Drop Counts message.

Essex and Suffolk Water has a mission to reduce water leakage across its network by 17.5 per cent by 2025.

Last year it unveiled an online portal for customers to report leaks and track repairs.
