Harrow firm to offer “transparent and honest pricing” in first step to becoming UK’s leading water retailer.
First Business Water has been granted a water supply and sewerage licence by Ofwat to operate in the non-domestic water retail market in England. Managing director Nish Dattani, said: “First Business Water has been set up to provide businesses with a clear and competitive pricing strategy for their water and wastewater supply. This is complemented by our customer centric approach in putting customers first and placing them at the heart of the business.
“Having evolved from a background in energy efficiency, sustainability is at the core of our company values. We not only want to supply water but empower businesses to use water more efficiently.”
He describes the move as the first step in the company’s journey to becoming the “UK’s leading water retailer”.
“We will continue to collaborate and engage with industry participants in shaping the future market landscape and look forward to participating in the open water market and building lasting relationships with customers and partners,” he added.
First Business Water applied to enter the non-domestic water retail market back in July and its licence came into effect on 17 November.
Earlier this month, brewery and pub retailer Marston’s was granted a self-supply licence to supply its own water and wastewater services.
It became the third company in England to be granted a self-supply licence by Ofwat, following brewer Greene King and hospitality firm Whitbread.
