Government’s community energy fund ‘falls short’
A £10 million government fund for local renewable energy projects doesn't go far enough in providing adequate support for communities, an industry boss has suggested. The government’s new Community Energy Fund is an expanded version of the former Rural Community Energy Fund and will now include investment for urban areas. While several industry experts have cautiously welcomed the move, concerns have been raised that the funding will not be enough.
