Green Energy launches dual fuel product

The renewable energy supplier has offered electricity to consumers for thirteen years, but will now also offer gas supply following a customer questionnaire in which almost 83 per cent of respondents said they would prefer a dual fuel option.

“For some time, our customer shareholders have been asking us why we don’t do gas and now we do. They made the point that they buy gas anyway and would prefer to buy from us as they liked our service levels,” Green Energy’s chief executive Doug Stewart said in a statement.

The supplier added that its customer survey revealed that customer service is considered just as important as competitive prices.

The latest data on energy supplier switching shows that consumers are increasingly opting for smaller suppliers over the big six energy companies.

“Listening and acting on what customers want is a core part of our service ethos, and the move to supply gas is an obvious demonstration of that,” Green Energy added.
