Greensolver and Infinergy form British joint venture

The French renewables firm Greensolver has teamed up with developers Infinergy to create a new joint venture to strengthen its position in Britain.

Greensolver UK will combine Greensolver’s technical experience and Infinergy’s knowledge of the British markets to provide customers with a complete management service for wind and solar assets.

The joint venture will be specifically concerned with technical and commercial management of operational plants, with technical due diligence, construction project management, and advisory service being provided independently by the French company.

Greensolver already has offices in Paris, London and Groningen, and the new partnership is expected strengthen its position in the British market.

“As a developer, it is very important for us to build up our knowledge of the operational side of things in order to develop new projects better. By partnering with Greensolver, not only are we able to capitalise on their expertise in technical and commercial management, but also on their range of innovative services,” said Infinergy chief executive, Esbjorn Wilmar.

The chief executive of Greensolver, Guy Auger, said that partnership with Infinergy was a natural choice and added: “We already operate six wind farms they developed, and experienced first-hand how professional they were and how well they understood the UK market dynamics.

“We are very excited for the agreement to take effect and are looking forward to future project development in the United Kingdom and abroad, as each of our companies can capitalise on each other’s geographical presence.”
