Peter Vale, Technical Lead – Innovation, at Severn Trent
Peter Vale will present on the practical considerations when building and commissioning a main wastewater treatment works and implementing a low-p schemes on works. Severn Trent was challenged with tough p limits in AMP6 and this has accelerated in AMP7. Peter will cover the technologies assessed and experience won through operating schemes, including how successful they’ve been in meeting tight limits. Peter will also give a flavour of some of the novel solutions for p-recovery which Severn Trent has been looking into.
Eve Germain-Cripps, Head of Process Engineering, at Thames Water
Eve German-Cripps will present insights on Thames Water’s strategies in responding to new and tighter p consents on smaller sites across the network. She will cover the research undertaken by Thames Water and some of the standout technologies used to meet the new consents. The presentation will include conventional technologies, as well as sustainable, ‘fit and forget’ solutions.
Russell Baxter, Municipal Account Manager, Hach
John Moroney, Business Support Manager, Hach
Hach will present on some of the common challenges in p removal for small and large wastewater treatment works. The established instrument, software and service provider will also look at strategies that can be employed to improve performance while maintaining site compliance.
