On the Move: Hafren Dyfrdwy restructures management

Severn Trent has appointed James Jesic as managing director of Welsh subsidiary Hafren Dyfrdwy with Helen Miles taking on the role of chief financial officer.

Jesic, director of customer operations at Severn Trent, has taken over the role at Hafren Dyfrdwy from Liv Garfield, who will remain chief executive of Severn Trent.

Similarly, Miles, who is currently director of the commercial team at Severn Trent, replaces James Bowling as chief financial officer for the Welsh business.

The pair will take on the additional responsibilities in addition to their existing positions and Garfield and Bowling will focus on their core roles at Severn Trent.

Jesic and Miles officially joined the Hafren Dyfrdwy board from 15 July.

Elsewhere United Utilities has announced Kath Cates will join the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September.

Cates, who has experience in regulated and financial services in the UK and overseas, will become a member of the company’s remuneration and nomination committees when she joins the board.

United Utilities’ chairman, David Higgins said:  “We are delighted to announce Kath’s appointment as a non-executive director. Her career working in a regulated environment in financial services will provide the board with additional perspective on regulatory matters.  Her experience serving as a non-executive director and as a chair of the remuneration, audit and risk committees in her other roles will contribute to board governance and risk management at United Utilities.”
