New director appointed at Water2business

His appointment comes as the industry prepares for the opening up of the market for non-household retail competition in England in April 2017.

Formerly the director of a number of businesses in the telecoms Sector, Smith has more than 20 years’ experience overseeing sales, operational teams and customer support services.

Commenting on his appointment, Smith said that the company would remain focused on its commitment to delivering a simple, transparent and cost effective service to its growing customer base throughout his tenure.

He said: “As the water market prepares for reform it is more imperative than ever that our customers receive the right support to best meet their individual needs.

“Drawing on the complementary skills of both Wessex Water and Bristol Water, water2business has the infrastructure and experience needed to deliver the most comprehensive water and waste water solution for business customers across the country.

“In my new role, and in a newly competitive market, I am very much looking forward to building on the reputation that the organisation has established for itself as a result of its commitment to delivering excellent service, sustainability and savings to its clients.”

Welcoming the senior appointment Charley Maher, Managing Director, added: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Geoff to the team during a time of transition for the water industry.

“His operational and customer support background, as well as his leadership experience, means he is ideally placed to lead water2business through the changes ahead whilst continuing to build on our established reputation for delivering excellence within the water and waste services industry.”

Water2business was launched in April 2015 and is based at Nailsea in Bristol.
