NIC: Water efficiency policies do not go far enough

The National Infrastructure Commission has warned that policy and legislation is insufficient to cut water consumption by the required level. Faced with a deficit of four billion litres each day, significant changes to how water is used must be made. The NIC told peers that despite government's Plan for Water considering this need, current policy would not make it achievable.
