Npower launches fixed tariff with Nest Learning Thermostat

The Intelligent Fix – April 2017 deal will offer installation of the Nest device for £99, and annual charges for the tariff are £12 more than Npower’s standard charges.

The fixed tariff deal is available to dual fuel customers paying by direct debit and managing their account online, and there is an early exit fee of £50 before 12 March 2017.

The typical dual fuel customer can expect to pay £1,217 per year on the Intelligent Fix – April 2017 tariff.

Simon Stacey, Npower’s managing director of energy services, said: “We’ve designed this tariff to give customers control over their energy prices until April 2017.

“Combined with the Nest Learning Thermostat, customers will have even more control over their day-to-day energy use, even when they’re not at home.”

Lionel Paillet, general manager for Europe at Nest, added: “With Ofgem saying that UK residents spend on average about £1,342 per year on energy, and heating responsible for 60 per cent of the bill, we wanted to help put customers in control of their energy use.

“We are thrilled to partner with Npower in the UK and introduce savings and energy-awareness into more homes.”
