Ofgem moots ‘controlled access’ to connections queue
Ofgem’s chief executive will tell Utility Week Live today that the regulator is pushing an “invest and connect” approach to unblocking the backlog to access the grid. Jonathan Brearley will discuss possible strategies for accelerating connections, including the introduction of “controlled access” to the queue and eventually even a fully centralised planning model.
