In this week’s round up of appointments in UK utilities Zap-Map, the Good Energy owned electric vehicle mapping service has appointed an interim chief executive and commercial director. Meanwhile, Bulb has hired a former Amazon executive to lead its customer service teams.
Bulb
Former Amazon director Adam Koffler has been named vice president of experience at the energy retailer to lead the growing customer services department.
Bulb has grown its staff by more than 350 since lockdown began and now has more than 1000 people working across the UK, Spain, France and the US.
Joe Richardson, UK general manager at Bulb welcomed Koffler and said: “He joins at an exciting time as we start the next phase of our growth, launching green products that will help people around the world save money and reduce their carbon emissions.”
The appointment follows a flurry of senior posts as the company sets its sights on further international and domestic growth.
Good Energy
Electric vehicle charging point locator Zap-Map, which Good Energy owns a 50.1 per cent majority share in, has named an interim chief executive. Richard Bourne has been brought in to develop a long-term strategy to scale-up the business and potentially raise funds. Bourne brings experience scaling start-ups from various industries including Stratto, Cisco, Ubiquisys, Ericsson and Marconi.
Alex Earl will join as commercial director focused on commercial strategy, delivery, and target success. Earl has spent the past 10 years working in electric mobility most recently setting up Alfen’s business in the UK as their UK country manager and previously helped start up New Motion.
