Onshore wind project halted as costs soar  

An onshore wind project planned for the south of Scotland has been shelved after costs almost doubled. Developer Community Windpower has confirmed that it is putting its Sanquhar II project on ice, after projected development costs rose from around £300 million to £500 million.
