By representing the views of its members British Water creates a focus for water expertise and plays a significant role in shaping the policies of the future.”

British Water chair Tony Williams said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Chris Loughlin to the board of British Water.

“Over AMP6 and in the years ahead it is more important than ever for the water and environment sector to collaborate more closely and to promote a common voice to government, regulators and most importantly customers.

“British Water is building stronger relationships across the supply chain and with utilities in the UK and globally. Chris’s insight and experience will be an enormous asset to the association, our staff, membership and the development of our sector.

“A significant part of British Water’s work involves driving the promotion of UK expertise and helping UK companies do business in other parts of the world.  Chris brings a great deal of understanding in global business.”
