Scottish Power helps Cancer Research UK with new fixed tariff

The new Help Beat Cancer Fixed Price Energy January 2017 deal will fix energy prices for customers until 31st December 2016, and has an average annual bill of £1,350.

For every customer who signs up to the deal, Scottish Power will make a £10 donation to Cancer Research UK, and a further donation for every month the customer remains on the product up to a maximum of £10 per annum until the end of the product term.

There is a £25 exit fee for both electricity and gas if a customer decides to change tariff, unless they opt for another Scottish Power Deal, where there will be no charge.

Neil Clitheroe, chief executive at Scottish Power Retail and Generation, said: “The Help Beat Cancer Fixed Price Energy January 2017 deal is designed to offer customers peace of mind, and it is currently the longest fixed price product in the market. We believe the product is competitively priced, and offers good value for those customers who are seeking to fix their energy prices.

“We also hope that the new product will raise more money to support Cancer Research UK’s pioneering work.

“Since Cancer Research UK was established as our principal charity in February 2012, our customers and employees have been fantastic in supporting the relationship, helping to raise more than £2 million so far.”
