The Water Industry Commission for Scotland today gave the Warrington-based water company the go-ahead to offer water and wastewater services to businesses north of the border.
The Scottish regulator exempted United Utilities Water Sales from default service standards, following a consultation with stakeholders. It also allowed the new entrant to impose early exit charges on customers in certain circumstances.
