Smart DCC boosts senior team

Smart DCC has announced a series of new appointments to its senior team and executive board.

The appointments come as the Capita-owned company starts scaling up its operation to service the network of smart meters that will be installed around the country over the next few years.

Ross Catley has been appointed to the new executive board as chief technical officer.

He will provide expertise into Smart DCC’s programme delivery, and support the transition to SMETS2.

Catley has delivered large-scale billing migration programmes for Vodafone and Meteor, and has also consulted for British Gas and Legal and General.

Daniel Lambert has been appointed as director of technical operations and will take the lead on scaling up operations.

Before joining Smart DCC, he was chief information officer of ACN Europe BV in the Netherlands.

Ro Crawford has been appointed to the newly-created post of service delivery director and will manage Smart DCC’s build function.

Before joining, she was portfolio governance director at British Gas.

While Navinder Jaswal joins Smart DCC from the Cabinet Office as executive business manager, and will work to improve the company’s business process and governance.

And Ed Hurford has been appointed as director of transformation and will lead the programme to transform the company from a single programme project to one, which delivers multiple programmes.

“These new hires will support the delivery of this new national infrastructure that will transform the market for gas and electricity consumers, improving the way our heat and power network operates, and make the UK more energy resilient,” said chief executive officer, Angus Flett.
