Southern Water names AMP6 delivery partners

The five year contracts were awarded to: CMDP, a joint venture between Costain and MWH; GTM, a joint venture between Galliford Try, Imtech, and Atkins; and MGjv, a consortium made up of Morrison Utility Services and Galliford Try.

CMDP will maintain and improve the water supply network and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of Southern’s region (Kent and East Sussex).

GTM has been awarded the contract to deliver maintenance and improvement schemes at water supply and wastewater treatment works for West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

MGjv will deliver Southern Water’s investment to expand and maintain its network of water mains and sewers, totalling more than 53,000 kilometres in length. Support will also be provided by strategic design partner AECOM.

The three delivery partners will work with MWH, which was appointed last month as Southern Water’s strategic solutions partner.

Matthew Wright, Southern Water’s chief executive, said: “We look forward to working with CMDP, GTM and MGjv, together with MWH, as part of our new Southern Water Partnership to plan and implement innovative ways of improving the water and wastewater services we provide.

“This, in turn, will make us more efficient and able to provide better value to our customers.”
