SSE to convert former coal plant into 150MW battery
SSE Renewables has said it will start work on its second battery energy storage system (BESS) later this month. The 150MW project will be located at the site of SSE’s former coal-fired power station in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, which was decommissioned in 2016.
