Subsidy cuts for onshore wind unchanged – until 2014 – and £500million fund for gas

Subsidy reductions to onshore wind will remain at the 10 per cent proposed last Autumn in the Renewables Obligation (RO) banding review. However, the government has left the door open for a further cut in 2014 should developer costs fall further. Offshore wind support remains unchanged from the Autumn consultation, as does support for many other renewable energy technologies.
