Thames grows Scottish retail operation

TWCS has expanded its Edinburgh based-team to a total of six following the first year of competing in the non-domestic water market in Scotland.

The new Scottish team will include three business development managers and one key account manager.

Since 2008, when the retail market was opened to competition in Scotland, around 130,000 non-domestic customers in Scotland have been able to chose who can supply their water and wastewater services.

Alan Munro, sales manager at TWCS and who heads the Scottish team, said: “It’s only been just over a year but we take great pride in our unrivalled levels of customer service and have a 100 per cent customer retention rate so far.

“Our aim now is to significantly drive forward our expanding customer base.”

England’s non-household market is open to competition in 2017, after the Water Act passed into law in May.
