Octopus Energy has been unveiled as Utility of the Year at the industry’s annual awards ceremony.
The company also won the inaugural Disruptor category at the Utility Week Awards 2019, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London this evening (9 December).
Other multiple winners on the night included UK Power Networks, which took home the gongs for Digital Transformation, Diversity and Staff Development. Yorkshire Water won the Customer Engagement and Environment awards. Meanwhile, Thames Water was recognised for its Capital Project Management work on the Deephams upgrade as well as winning Team of the Year with Stantec, Skanska and SMB.
This year’s awards, sponsored by Capgemini, CGI, Salesforce, Gentrack, Oracle, Microsoft, Ordnance Survey, Mobileye, AMT-SYBEX, Calvin Capital and Lowri Beck, saw a record number of entries across 16 categories.
