Vattenfall gets green light for Kentish Flats windfarm extension

The extension, granted permission by energy secretary Ed Davey, will add up to 51MW of capacity to the windfarm, which lies of the North Kent coast.

The project is expected to cost more than £150 million and start construction in 2015.

Davey said: “Vattenfall’s decision to extend an existing project reflects the ongoing attractiveness of the UK as a place to do business in renewable energy.”
