Weekend press round-up: National Grid to lose electricity role to independent body

In our latest review of sector coverage in the national newspapers, the government is expected to make an announcement on the future of the National Grid electricity system operator as soon as this week. Meanwhile, there are concerns that ministers have underestimated the cost of switching to heat pumps to the tune of £12 billion and green energy suppliers have hit out at plans to introduce a RAB model for nuclear plants.
