Wessex Water names new non-executive director

Richard Keys is a chartered accountant who spent 37 years at PwC and was a partner there for 26 years, holding a number of senior management positions.

Most recently he was global chief accountant – global accounting services leader, with a team of partners and staff across more than 30 countries.

Keys was closely involved in the UK privatisation programmes, particularly that of water.

Speaking about his appointment, he said: “I am looking forward to contributing to the board as the company works to sustain and develop its industry leading position at a particularly exciting time addressing the market and competitive changes ahead.”

In addition to his position at Wessex Water, Richard is also a director at Sainsbury’s Bank, NATS Holdings and at the Department for International Development.

He is also a director and chairman of Glaziers Hall in his capacity as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass.
