Yorkshire invites innovation bids

Yorkshire Water is seeking projects offering solutions to a range of challenges through its Innovation Marketplace.

The company asked 32 supply partner companies to participate in procurement competitions around water supply interruptions, leakage and how to avoid breaking ground.

Yorkshire said it wanted to improve regulatory performance, safety and cost efficiency while a better less intrusive customer experience with innovative new approaches to current problems.

“The Innovation Marketplace will help us to adopt solutions that are new to market or have been developed through our innovation programme,” said Neil Dewis, director of Water at Yorkshire.

He added: “We hope the solutions will improve the quality of service on our network, reduce customer supply interruptions and carbon emissions.”

Yorkshire will be working with One Spatial Group, Amey, Aquaint BV, B&V Binnies, Crowder Consulting, Electro Scan, Fido Tech, GMAC Utilities, Haydale Composite, Hydraulic  Analysis, Hydrosave, Inflowmatrix, Intellitect Water, Kier, Morrison Water Services, Mueller, MW Polymer Products, Origin Integrity Management, PAM Analytics, PMP Utilities, R2M, Royal Haskoning, Sanivar, Sacro Stopper, Suez Advanced Solutions, Tata Consultancy, Telespazio VEGA, Tes Tex NDT, Thermancy, Water Research Centre, Xylem and ZZ.
