Changing culture is key to retaining women in energy
Despite the valiant efforts of energy companies to attract women into the sector, there are serious concerns being raised about the fact they are struggling to retain their female employees. One expert believes culture is to blame, with a worrying anecdote about one employee losing count of the amount of times she’s “asked to make the tea”. Adam John speaks to the experts and finds out what the distribution network operators are doing to tackle a lack of gender diversity in a heavily male-dominated industry.
