The dramatic rise in wholesale power prices in 2021 has torn the energy retail sector apart, prompting a wave of supplier failures and heaping immense pressure on the remaining players.

The focus now is on mitigating the worst of the pain for consumers of steep increases in their bills. However, out of this crisis can also come an opportunity to forge closer relationships with consumers by highlighting the opportunities presented by the energy transition.
